Summer Guest Artists

  • Jaquez is Chicago born but hails from New York City where he received a BFA in Dance from NYU. He has appeared on Broadway in Motown the Musical, King Kong, Mrs Doubtfire, Bad Cinderella, and most recently played the role of Fred Casely in Chicago. Jaquez has had the honor of working with Vanessa Williams both on stage and on screen as associate choreographer of music videos “Legs (Keep Dancing)” & “iLike Moonlight”. 

    Jacquez will teach a musical theatre based class for Ballet School of Kingston.

  • Chris Bloom, a graduate of the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program, spent 10 years as a dancer with Ballet Hispanico while also performing with Parsons Dance, The Dash Ensemble, PARA.MAR Dance Theater (where he is a founding member) & San Francisco Dance Works. Chris was nominated for the Clive Barnes Award for his performance in CARMEN.maquia at the Apollo Theatre in NYC. His has created original works for The Ailey/Fordham BFA Program, The Joffrey Jazz & Contemporary Trainee Program, and at the Juilliard School as well as restaging pieces by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and Stephanie Martinez at companies and schools around the country.

    Chris Bloom will teach a contemporary class for Ballet School of Kingston.

  • David Fernandez is an award winning contemporary choreographer and dance filmmaker, master teacher from NYC. David is the visionary behind the choreography "Vitruvian Man," a captivating masterpiece that has garnered over a million views on YouTube, where he seamlessly merges classical aesthetics with contemporary elements, showcasing a distinctive and original approach to choreography. 

    David's well-known choreography, Five Variations on a Theme, was created for New York City Ballet Principal Dancer Joaquin De Luz. The work premiered as part of the acclaimed Kings of the Dance tour. Joaquin's commanding performance received standing ovations in NYC, LA, London, Paris, Rome, Moscow, Kiev, and Odessa. Other notable choreography commissions include pieces created for leading dancers of the American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, Kings of the Dance Tour, Dance Theatre of Harlem Ensemble, Youth America Grand Prix Gala Concert, and many others.  
    Following his passion for teaching and creating, David traveled to Kenya to choreograph "Dance on a Dream," a dance film for Ghetto Classics Dance, Karachogo, in Nairobi. Ghetto Classics is the sole arts education organization in Korogocho. Based in the slum for the past 12 years, it provides music and dance education to over 500 children and youth.

    David is very excited to be returning to Catskill Ballet Theatre where he performed numerous roles as a guest dancer in The Nutcracker and Dracula.

  • Camila Rodrigues is a Brazilian ballet dancer based in New York City. She began her training in Brazil at the Escola Estadual de Dança Maria Olenewa, where she performed with the prestigious ballet company of Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro. Camila also trained at the Centro de Movimento Deborah Colker under the guidance of renowned ballet master Nora Esteves. Upon graduation, she joined the Joffrey Ballet Concert Group in New York, where she performed soloist roles in works by Joffrey, Arpino and Balanchine, touring internationally to destinations including Canada, China, and throughout the U.S.

    Camila has won numerous awards including 1st place at the World Ballet Art Competition Grand Prix in Niagara Falls, Canada, and the Best Interpretation of the Contemporary Compulsory at the Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition in New York City.

    Camila's career led her to perform her first national tour in 2022, in the role of Lise Dassin, the female lead, in An American in Paris. She has also performed with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet at Lincoln Center and in major productions including Anastasia, Frozen, and Jersey Boys with Tuacahn Center for the Arts during their 2024 season.

    (In 2023, Camila guested as Alice in Catskill Ballet Theatre's Alice in Wonderland and stole the hearts of our company.) 

    Camila will teach a musical theatre class for Ballet School of Kingston.
