Patrick John O’Neill

Patrick graduated with his BFA in Dance from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and was a company member for the Lucinda Childs Dance Company from 2009 until 2021 where he had the opportunity to tour the world performing works such as "Dance." "Available Light," and "Einstein on the Beach." In addition to being a company member for Lucinda Childs, Patrick has had the opportunity to dance with Aaron McGloin Dance, Gierre Godley’s Project 44, Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance, and the Steps Repertory Ensemble. Most recently, Patrick was on faculty at the Horace Mann School in the Bronx, NY where he taught dance and theatre and directed/choreographed multiple main stage productions each year. Patrick taught Ballet at Yale University in the Theater Studies Department and was an adjunct professor of dance at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT.  In addition to teaching dance, Patrick is a certified Pilates/fitness instructor and is currently pursuing his 200 hour Yoga teacher training. Patrick has experience teaching students of all ages and all levels, from preschoolers to professionals. He draws on his classical training to build strong foundations and then incorporates his own personality and playfulness to create exciting and dynamic movement. Patrick strives to inspire all his students, no matter what age, to find and nurture their passion so they can walk away with something more than just learning "the steps."
